Annual 4th of July Walk

Members of the Leland community took a patriotic morning walk to celebrate Independence Day. The Magnolia Greens community usually sponsors a parade every year but was hampered by Covid. They plan to have a full parade next year in the tradition of previous years.

In the absence of an "authorized" parade, Gerald Decker, Commander of Leland VFW Post 12196, organized a walk down Grandiflora, on the route of the usual parade. "This year we had about 20 people. That is a big improvement over one last year and three the year before that," says Commander Decker.
